REGISTRATION DAY AND ORIENTATION WEEK
COURSE FEE PAYMENT
Please note that the course fee is due by January 22, 2024 (bank transfers were due by December 28, 2023). There are two payment methods available at this point:
- Online payment: for the semester course fee payment (47.000 CZK), please select “CS Summer semester fee”, variable symbol/ID: 618000, payment note: 618000 + your full name + Czech Studies
- Cash desk payment (cash or cards) – on Monday, January 22nd, 10:30am-noon at Na Příkopě 29, Prague 1, 2nd floor, room 221.
REGISTRATION
– Monday, January 22nd, 12:00-appx. 16:00
Concerning the Registration Day, it will be held at Na Příkopě 29, Prague 1, Prague 1, room 117 (1st floor) on Monday, January 22nd, 12:00-appx. 16:00. Short placement test & interview will be a part of the Registration Day. Continuing students are also expected to be present. On Tuesday afternoon, you will receive information about your assigned group.
– Tuesday, January 23rd, 13:00-14:00
CU ID cards are to be picked up at the Card centre at Celetná street no.13 after the Registration Day. As a part of orientation, those of you who will be present can join the group on Tuesday, January 23rd, 10:00. Please do not forget to bring your passport. Your photograph will be taken that day.
It is also possible to obtain your CU ID card independently, but no earlier than after the registration documents are processed by the program administrator. Continuing students do not need to obtain a new ID.
Please note that Czech Studies program enrolees are not eligible for STUDENT ID, as “student” status is by law reserved for degree and exchange students only. CU ID cards provide you with access to the University buildings and to wi-fi network.
– Wednesday, January 24th, 9:00-12:30 OR 14:00-17:30 (TBS): Úvodní jazykové lekce / Introductory language lessons at Na Příkopě 29, Prague 1 (rooms NP302A, NP220, NP217 and NP215)
– Thursday, January 25th, 9:00-appx. 15:30: Povinná přednáška a cvičení z fonetiky / Obligatory Phonetics lecture and exercise at Na Příkopě 29, Prague 1, 1st floor (rooms NP116 and NP117)
Regular classes will begin on Monday, January 29th, 9:00-12:15 and will run on Mon-Fri until May 24 at Na Příkopě 29, Prague 1.

ONLINE PLACEMENT TEST
We ask all students to complete the ONLINE TEST by January 8 (some of you may have already done it when submitting their applications) – in case you are a complete beginner, please fill in the form here instead. (Please complete only what you really know, so we can place you accordingly)!
